personal favourite - ivans amber

Hi Everyone

This fig is my personal favourite.

Its a beautiful looking fig, multicoloured, lovely cracks, thick skin, small eye.

A very sweet and dep red (photos dont justify).

It called Ivans Amber, after an elderly gentleman that brought in the country in the 50s.

Rain does not affect it!

Enjoy

Even if I didn't know you were from Oz, the landscape in your photos gives you away. Nice fig also but I had never heard of it. Sounds perfect for Sydney conditions.

Only hours ago, I mentioned to another Aussie on another thread, that there are many varieties in Australia if you look around.

it seems most members prefer thin skin, you are the first that enjoys thick skin, but i can see where thick skin can be nice.. maybe it has taste of its own.

Luscious!

You are truly fortunate. This and the Kytherian fig.

Very nice fig i hope we can trade cuttings in the winter maybe get a collection going like these guys in the states lol.

Aren't unkowns great? Beautiful looking fig? What does it taste like? Please don't say tasty....
