Peter's Honey? (Edit: added leaf pics)

Here's a few figs from a guy's tree that I'm helping to do some air layers before he sells the house.  He says it's a Peter's Honey that he bought from TyTy 5 or 6 years ago.  I'm not completely conveinced. The tree is about 12' to 14' feet tall, in-ground.  I'll try to get some leaf pictures later.

Any thoughts?

I forgot to include something for scale, but the bottom right one was about 2" in diameter.  These look like they weren't completely ready, but they had the hangman's neck.  They were sweet.  I had one a few weeks ago that was riper and much better tasting.

Edit: Here's a couple of leaf's from the tree.  Most are like the one on the right.

I don't think it's peter's honey. Since it is late in the season for figs, I's say its a LSU Gold. I have several Peter's Honey fig trees and my fruit has an oval, sometimes round shape, turns yellow when ripe, open eye and oozes honey from the eye when ripe. It also splits if it gets too much rain. Also, my PH figs are very rich tasting and are better than sweet!

Not a PH but better than the BT i got from them at about the same time!

I agree with Dennis on the LSU gold.

Nice figs, thanks for sharing.

bump.  I added a pic of a couple of leaf's in the OP.  Does that help in confirming ID?

James, I'm not familiar with the leaves of PH but the leaf on the right resembles a lot of leaves on my LSU gold. About half look that way and the rest have the same shape just a little skinnier. I'll see if I have any pics of mine if not I'll take a few tomorrow for you.

Here's another shot of that Peter's Honey NOT!.  Is that still looking like LSU Gold?

Along with one that is supposed to be Brown Turkey.  Do Brown Turkeys have such big open eye's?  It did taste like the BT's that my wife had at the supermarket.  This one wasn't quite ripe.

Here is a fruit cross section of PH. The leaves of my tree are mostly 3 lobed; sorry I don't have any leave pics.

This late in the season....I still think it's LSU Gold. With the proper heat, it will turn a light yellow color. And yes, your Brown Turkey is a Brown Turkey. It's a Monrovia strain.

Fig exterior color can change in different climates. I think those 2 figs you have will get better in years to come. Nice job!
