Hi all. I mentioned this fig on here before asking if anyone could gime me 
some advice or if they have it in their fig inventories.
Here are two photos that I took tonight and tghe wind was blowing
with some gusto. So sorry about the out of fucus photos.

Hello recomer20 I'm sorry but I can't answer that. Don't remember where I got the fig or whom I got it from. All that information has worn off the planting tub. I would be interested in learning what makes you think that might be the same as my fig.

Texas Blue Giant. Cutting started April 2014 from apache011-2 on ebay. Large enough tree now that feel ok letting these two mature.

Those two figs like they are going to be great at the time when they mature.

Hopefully they will make it and not get eaten by the numerous rabbits, squirrels and birds. Got 72 chihuahuas guarding the figs. Also going to look into the little bags - I think they are used for wedding favors.

It is my understanding that Texas Blue Giant was introduced by Fanick's Garden Center in San Antonio TX. They do list a Blue Giant. Anyone - please do correct me if I'm wrong. 

 

Here are pictures of my Texas Blue Giant figs.  Here in East Texas it is really a great fig, large, tasty, and easy to grow.  I did have to dig mine up and put it in a pot due to the unusual flooding.  It is doing well but I did buy some cuttings from Apache02-11 on ebay as a precaution.

I had called Fanicks in San Antonio and they did not have any in stock and they told me there were only 3 authorized sellers of the Fanick's Blue Giant.  I did call all 3 but no one had any in stock and did not know when they might have any so I did not save the contact info.
