Picked today

Below are the first ripening off of these trees except the LSU Gold which I've picked 2 already.
The top right fig is one given to me by charles willis which he calls Dr. G after the person who gave it to him.

The top left is a LSU Gold

The top center and 2 below it on the middle row are China whites.

The lone dark fig is Geno's Black.

The LSU Gold was up to par, honey sweet, mild with a light taste of fig.
The China White is not so sweet as the LSU Gold but has a good flavor and texture. Only the top one was ripe enough. I knocked the other two off accidently. They fall easily. As you can see it has a hollow center and a large open eye. It can only ripen in dry weather without spoiling.

The Geno's Black is a new taste to me. Probably what most would call berry taste but very very sweet. I will have to study that one more.

The Gino's looks perfect.  Congratulations on the harvest.

I am so jealous.... they look delicious!

Nice presentation, Gene. Great figs. LSU Gold looks super!

Gino's was super sweet for me last year.  What a great tasting fig!

Hi,
I'm jealous! Congratulations !
The LSU gold has really a nice color - it looks really tasty !

Very nice Gene, thanks for sharing

Gene,
How was the dr g?

Cal, DR. G was maybe a 5. I'm hoping the next one is better. It's a very nice looking fig with it's pale green color. It was sort of watery but pleasant.
