Below are the first ripening off of these trees except the LSU Gold which I've picked 2 already.
The top right fig is one given to me by charles willis which he calls Dr. G after the person who gave it to him.
The top left is a LSU Gold
The top center and 2 below it on the middle row are China whites.
The lone dark fig is Geno's Black.
The LSU Gold was up to par, honey sweet, mild with a light taste of fig.
The China White is not so sweet as the LSU Gold but has a good flavor and texture. Only the top one was ripe enough. I knocked the other two off accidently. They fall easily. As you can see it has a hollow center and a large open eye. It can only ripen in dry weather without spoiling.
The Geno's Black is a new taste to me. Probably what most would call berry taste but very very sweet. I will have to study that one more.
