I have been picking the figlets off the trees as they show up
in the hopes that the bigger figs get to ripen
but the trees just keep on shooting them up
My question is will this effect the breba crop next year?
Last year I left the figlets on the tree they stayed on all winter and a good part of Spring but never got any bigger and then just fell off

Anyone else doing this ?

Mario I am doing the same thing I know they do not have enough time to ripen in my area so off they go.. I am hoping the tree sends energy into the roots and wood to help protect it during the winter.  I do not believe this will hurt the breba crop as they are from different embreyos however this is my first year removing the newer figlets. We will see in the spring....
