Looking good there Dave.

Looking good Dave. Congrats. Post some pics of the fruits when they are ready.

thanx i try, will def post pics of ripe fruit.

I have 2 trees that were labled as purple magnolia. but i have been unable to find any info on it and am just wondering if its a name some one gave it as an unknown. it does produce larger figs about the size of those jumbo eggs at the store and the fruit is real deep purple with a deep red pulp. both tree were top killed this winter and i am hoping to get fruit from the new growth this year to post with some leaf pics and see what the pros think. the new growth has already hit 3 1/2 foot in just a couple months and its growing bush like with 30 plus branches like trunks.

just have to wait and see what happends i guess.

look nice!

Dave,
Looks like a great start to your growing season. good Luck.
Here are pictures of a few 5 gallon buckets on a 5 foot wide gravel path above the future fig orchard... the 1 gallons are still on the porch, and most need to be up potted.

Looking good Pete. I was thinking of using 5 gal buckets but thought the suns uv would. Make them brittle so I never tried. How do the buckets hold up for you?

Thanks. This is their second season no problems so far. You can paint them with an outdoor latex based paint, it stops UV degradation.

Anybody else got any pics to share.

I'm starting to get main crop figs now on mvsb as well
