Pictures - 15th Sept RdB Harvest

Ate a bunch as we(+wife) were picking these RdB. Gave some to friends who came by to say
"hi". This is the balance as depicted in the pictures. Just delicious. Going to share half of these
with a 92 yr old lady. She loves figs.

Hi paully,
How many rdb trees do you have? ten ? Of what size ?
I'm still waiting to have such an harvest ! Although, my BT might already be of a good help to that !
Did you already try to make jam from them ? - At some point that's my goal !

Wow, Should print, frame and hang that picture on the wall.

They look delicious.  Hope my RdB cuttings make it.

Wow that's nice.  Something to look forward to.

Alright Paul, that's an awesome harvest.

They look delicious

Nelson

They look awesome Paul:) How goes the salmon?

Congratulations!

Beautiful ...

It seems like Ronde is quite popular and plentiful this year. Congrats Paul, and I know the 92 year old lady will be super happy.

What a sight.  I'd be happy to harvest half of that.

What a nice plate of great figs !
Congratulations!

Francisco

Ohh I want some :)

What does it taste like?

Wow that's a beautiful plate of figs!
Sorry jdsfrance if I had those figs they wouldn't be around long enough to make jam they look way too delicious as is:)

Wow, that is some harvest!  How many and how old are the trees?  They look delicious!

WOW. Great looking figs Paul.
Love the interior colour
I've got a couple just starting to ripen.
I hope they look as good as yours.

Congrats on the harvest, Paul. That looks awesome!

WOW!! What some Beautiful Figs!! That photo would make a good Magazine Cover!I have several RDB but have not had the privilege to eat one, Hopefully next year!! CONGRATS!! : )

OMG they are so gorgeous!     I wish they'd replace the 5 dreary figs on the forum header.   So many beutiful figs in the world.

Those are pictures that generate hope for the rest of us.
With some time and attention, possibly I will have something like that beautiful harvest.
Whatever you've done with that plant, it sure seems to be a growing success.

@ Wills -- Fishing have been great. Currently recuperating from over fishing. Been 3 days without going out. Not just me, my
buddies too. Well, I am in trouble for being less committed to work -- at home "honey do list" growing and earning a living. Good thing
my boss is my son. My fishing buddies are in trouble too -- one forgot their anniversary, so guess what...a fat cheque works. Another had
his blood pressure zooming up to 170 due to lack of sleep and wife's nagginess that he is less than wise catching so many fish. Another got
himself into deep trouble for not filleting the fish and now they need a 4th freezer. So we all decided to take a 7 day break. After that we
will target the silvers(Coho salmon) and the Kings(Chinooks). BTW, in summation -- it looks like senior fishermen like us during the fishing
season get into more trouble with our spouses. Next season I will send my wife away on a holiday. Did it once & when she came back I had
an extra freezer for fish. Until today she still tells friends about this freezer in the living room. Maybe guys are practical...and the Pastor over
the weekend reminded the guys that women knows everything about men but not vice versa.

Paul,
That is a fantastic harvest. From how many trees and of what age?

Wills,
We may need to visit Paul next summer. Incredible. Smoked salmon. Salmon jerky.

Tree is either 5 yrs or under 5 yrs, in-ground. Only one tree. Will pull out spare Longue d'Aout,
Latarrula and Desert King. Will plant extra Granthams Royal and RdB.

Fishing was excellent today. Limit out day's catch in 5 cast. The salmon sockeye run on the Fraser
River is just over 20 million. Got a King salmon today. Not very big. The silvers(Coho salmon) are
coming, so too the big white Kings and Chums. Beautiful Fraser River/Valleys. Only 5 minutes from
my house to boat launch and 5 minutes to my fishing hot spot.

- Today's catch 4 Sockeye Salmon and a King

This Morning Fraser River Fishing - 21 st Sept 2014

Hard to know which is nicer, the figs or the salmon.  Beautiful area!
