Pine Bark Fines in San Diego County?

Thinking about making some 5-1-1 today.  Where is the best source for pine bark fines in San Diego County?

If there is an Agway close by their pine bark mulch (blue bag) works really well for me.

Most of the bark you're going to find in Ca. is going to be fir.It works fine.
Home Depot has Earthgro,2 cu. ft Groundcover bark, item 88352185,stay away from
the "Color Enhanced" stuff.Make sure it's the smaller sized bark.

The best stuff I've found is the small "Orchid Bark" from Crop Production Services,
but that gets pricey.

The HD earthgro groundcover bark is what I use. Good stuff mixed with Pro Mix HP

Thanks for the input guys.  Got some at HD.

Brian, what ratio are you mixing with Pro Mix HP?

70 hp/30 bark

Still have never seen a bag of pro mix. Is that the brand name ?

  Richie,

Several growers have commented on Pro Mix HP's unavailability in LA.    Sunshine #4 is as close as one could possibly get to it,  plus it is $19 less a bale here.

I switched from Pro Mix to Sunshine #4. Sunshine is available in an organic version which I like.

When purchasing the EarthGro bark, steer clear of the 'All Natural Bark'...   that is EarthGro's code for "we left it in the full 6" chunks that came off of the tree".

Their 'Decorative Groundcover' is the bark fines.
