Pingo de Mel (main crop)

A good season for this variety
Always very sweet and tasty.  A great table fig (fresh) and one of the best light figs for drying.

Wow. That makes me want to go check for some ripe figs.

Is this same /similar to croisic fig ? Thanks for the great photo.

Luke,
thank you for your comments
This Pingo de Mel, IMO is not a Croisic. We do have several strains of this type with close characteristics
Think it is more like in the family of the honey figs (Dottato/Kadota)

Looks very nice and delicious.
Unfortunately for me I had a few cuttings from a generous f4f member but I couldn't get them to root.  I am hoping next time I will have better luck.

Luscious. Caprified?

Very nice , Francisco!
They look as if they are grown in California :)
Thank you for the photos!

Thank you all for your kind words

Pino
Sad to hear that problem..think you should try again.

Rafael,
Yes,  they were involuntarily caprified although being quite far from the Caprifigs.. wind may have helped.

Igor,
Correct! I had the same thought
