I have not seen many photos of these posted. I hope to taste it later this year.
The pot is really tiny, like 1.5 quarts but the fig doesn’t care (or me).

It looks like the weight of those figs would topple the pot if it weren't amongst those other pots. It's always impressive to see what a small fig tree can produce, and how quickly after rooting. That is one of the reasons I love growing figs.

Mike,

I have not thought about the weight :) Yes, I should repot it asap!
This cutting was the slowest growing last year. It spent 6 months with 2 small leaves and I decided to ignore it.
Until this year. What you see, has grown in the past few months.

I'm amazed that tiny pot can keep enough moisture through a hot day without wilting the plant, especially since it's carrying a fig load.

I water every morning and the figs are doing just fine, with 100F every day. The pots are in a shade though, not the direct sun.

Hi Greenfig,
So you're taking revenge for her last years action ?
If that figtree was mine, it would already have been up potted or would be in ground.
Did you pinch, or did it loose the top leaves ?

Yes, I pinched.
But it is not a revenge :)
I decided to ' ignore ' some figs and see what happens if I do not mess with the Nature, watering only.
I can say that the figs do like to be moved or touched.

But I am repotting it this week!

Igor, did you mean "did not" ?

Calvin,
Yes, the proper way to say would be "did not mess with the Nature".
When I was typing, I realized that that fact alone was more interesting than the figs in this thread.
I discovered that the small fig plants (in 1 gals and smaller) really like the consistency and stability. My most vigorous plants are the ones I touch and move the least.
I even tried to experiment!
My observation: a 1 gal fig moved to a sunny spot that was growing happily in a shaded spot dropped the leaves (all or some) to grow the new ones, more adaptable to the bright and hot sun. A 1 gal fig moved from a full sun to a shaded spot did the same! It dropped almost all the leaves and regrew the ones more suitable for the shade, thinner and larger.
It seems some figs were dying because of me. The screamed "leave me alone!!", but I didn't hear .. :(

This is a tasty fig. This is my second year and my tree is robust and loaded with figs this year. The trunk is amazingly thick. I will have to root prune this fall.
