Looks good, Pete, nice big leaves.  Good luck!

Thanks for posting Pete, this tree has very beautiful leaves,

Very nice, Pete!  =)

thanks guys, it's one of those figs i'm waiting for till next yr along with few others. Niagara Black, Nero 600M, St. Rita and others. more and more i think about it, growing fig is more of anticipation of new taste then anything else. i'm really hoping better weather and better luck next yr. i really screwed up this yr. faith and hope.. what drives the human kind.

and i can't stop thinking about sewing on the patches and setting plans for the Webelos and new scouts in the troop. not a big deal for me, but still... it's few min of my time, but it can be good or bad impression on the boys for their future. i should just take the darn uniforms to ft. bragg and have those tailors sew it on for me. they are cheap down there. for my uniform, i would do that.. but for my sons, i want to do it so they can remember and do the same for their kids. i hoping BSA will turn co-ed like other countries. then the girls can enjoy all this, and won't have to wait till they are 14 to experience outdoor like the boys can. well.. 4 pints Guinness is for me tonight. have a good 'un.

Pete, I think your boys will remember more about the outings than who sewed on the patches.  I have my Scout shirts from 40 years ago and I do appreciate now that mom sewed on my patches but she wasn't on outings with us.  My dad was an extremely busy farmer and didn't go camping back then but I knew he was working hard to provide for our family.  Nearly all of my son's patches were sewn on by a lady that does a great job and charges a buck or two and it's worth it to save the time.  My wife sewed on my HAT Core patch because I didn't want to lose the functionality of my shirt pocket and I do appreciate that!  We made a 7 hour hike last weekend at Yosemite and that's the sort of thing I think my son will remember.

Nice looking tree. I've noticed that many trees with more solid leaves, like those in your pic, produce excellent figs, Black Madeira being a prime example
