PIX: spring progress.

this is the first yr i didn't wait for the night temp to hit it just right. instead, i started fig shuffle. here are the results.

[IMAG0592]

I just put mine out.  Plan right now is to leave them out at night as well.  For the next week the daytime temp will be between 62 and 68.  Night time temp between 42 and 46.  Think that's too cold at night to leave them out?

They look great Pete!

Those are looking really good Pete.  I'm thinking I may get some of mine out tomorrow may have the time then.  Haven't the time for the shuffle when I take them out they are going to stay.

Watch out for Rafed !

1 yr and older shouldn't have any issues. new cuttings, i'm not sure. i always waited till night temp was above 50 in previous yrs, but i decided to put them out at above 40 this yr. will see how they handle it.

Pete,

Looking excellent. Only two of my trees have leafed out. It was a brutal Winter.

Navid.

Hi bullet08,
They are looking nice.
My yearlings will stay inside for a month still.
I put two out two weeks ago, and they lost their leaves even under plastic protection.
One is still looking healthy, the other seems to have dried for now - So still too soon for those tender leaves to face wild life.

jdsfrance,

they are mostly older trees. 1 yr or more and up. i kept my cuttings that i rooted this yr indoor until this past weekend. now they are all outside. but i think i mixed the soil wrong this time or something. they are drying up much quicker this yr than in past. it's rather windy here too.
