That is a lovely parade of figs!!!

Pete - when did you start rooting these cuttings?
And did you just move them from cup to #1 pots before moving them outside?

They look great Pete.

Nice work Pete...good luck.

some were started in nov. and spent time in the garage. ones with more top growth are the older ones from the nov. the ones in the shade are the ones i moved into 1 gal over the weekend. the one with top are in the shade and ones with root but no top are in partial sun.

this yr, things moved little faster. usually my cuttings don't go out to the sun till end of april/early may. but i decided to put them out early this yr. they were put out when night temp was above 40. last 3 yrs, i waited till 50.

what i'm noticing is where the sun is. a month makes lot of difference. my front porch is getting more sun, and my cuttings are getting more sun damage. no big deal, they are all putting new leaves out. but what worried me is that some of the leaves were acting like wet spinach. i removed those leaves so the tree will not stress over them and expending energy. since getting rid of them, new leaves are perking up and things are looking better.

when i moved them out after the night temp was at 50 (late april/early may), sun position is at a point where it did not hit the front porch so hard, i had more shades.

Nice little army you got there, Pete. Last night was the first night the kids spent the night out. Now that winter's passed, I'm going for a 'toughen up or die' mentality.

Very organized.

Nice collection!

Hi bullet08,
They look good. Luckily we are not supposed to identify them for you just based on those leaves :) ?
On first photo bottom left, does that tree have good roots ?
I had two with mis-colored leaves like that, and I put them out for live or die ! I checked the dirt and I only saw some 3 hair-style roots.
My two were not important to me - just tests  - but a test with success is much better.

jdsfrance, yupe that one is a unknown called Bonita Verte. that has good roots. the issue is the leaves are sun burnt, but new leaves are coming out and looks good. i usually don't concern myself with sun burnt leaves. they will drop sooner or later anyway. the trees will put on nice leaves next yr.
