sorry about the over exposure. one in the middle front that looks like a deer antler.

Our uc madeira likes the fertilizer and has responded well over the years.
Good to see someone doing the fig shuffle - not here.

Martin, what fertilizer are you using?  You told me before but I couldn't find that message. Thanks.

Miracle grow that is mixed with water @ full strength.

last yr i used organic. this yr i'm going back to my original regiment. slow release top dressing with MG all the way :)

Martin, you once wrote about a fertilizer that you felt greatly reduced the effects of FMV and I think it was something different than that.  If it's a secret, send me a PM or email. :)

BM growth and fertilizer was discussed by jon some time ago. he dumped ton of it and his BM started to grow. not sure what martin used before.

Hey Pete, your Bm looks great, I hope it does well for you this year and you get a bunch of figs

It was 2-3 years ago that Martin has mentioned a specific fertilizer he used that mitigated the effects of bad FMV.  I know Jon's comments as well which were more general.

martin, what was the stuff you used? all i remember is you using some hormone to get USDA/UCD Ischia Blk going. by the way, USDA/UCD IB is doing very nice. i lost one on the first yr. that thing didn't do anything and just died. the other one is growing very well. need to pinch it this yr.

It may have been Ischia Black and Martin's fertilizer program I'm thinking of.  I don't think he posted what it was publicly but think he told me in a PM and I can't find it now, probably deleted it to make room.

Okay, yeah, it was his Ischia Black.  In 2009 he sent one to a lab and they fixed it up.  What was that fertilizer or whatever, Martin?

it's same thing that BC used to use... some sort of growth hormone to induce growth... it's all latin to me.

Maybe you are thinking of Super Thrive but I think there was also a specific fertilizer that the lab had suggested, or something like that.  Again, I only knew of it because of private communication at the time.

nah... my idea of backpacking meal is not BSA approved :)

Hey, you're cross-posting in your own thread! lol

lol... i'm going nuts. the whole house is getting painted and we are camping out in the garage. tomorrow, i have to figure out how to squeeze in the fig trees in here...
