2nd one of the yr. it was good. sweet. much much better than last yr when i didn't taste anything out of this fig. but it's still lacking something. it's a good size, but production is low. the taste is pleasant enough, but i'm not tasting anything more than sweetness. nothing very complex about this one. it might be due to too much rain this yr.. maybe it was due to root being disturbed during the repotting. will keep one more yr to see if it will improve. if nothing else, it make a good size fig that doesn't taste too bad.
Thank you for posting the photo. It is tasty.Best,Tam
Nice looking fig. Hope it improves.
Looks really good I'm sorry the taste didn't match. Here's hoping for next year! You goin' broke Pete? Down to a penny! LOL
Its my understanding that White Greek productivity is not high but big on taste.
Leave it one the tree a little longer.
Hi Pete The fig looks good; hope it's a keeper for you. Is the green and the white Greek the same fig? I have both and the leaves look the same. Vito
are white greek and stella the same fig?i think i read somewhere or saw a thread....eli
Pete, it needs more time on the tree. I piked one last week after it got really soft and it was amazing. Your White Greek fig looks a whole lot like my Vasilika Sika!!!! My White Greek is a green fig that turns whitish yellow on the exterior when ripe and amber interior. The fig is round in shape, not oblong. I have both including Stella which is not the same fig.
I have 2 named Green Greek. Is White Greek a different variety?
not sure what this is same as. tho, i know it's same as one that jon has. i'm waiting on one of the Longue D'Aout to ripen. but from the look of the leaf they are definitley different. i heard that WG, and LdA both has other figs that are very similar to them.
