PIX:ugliest fig of the spring.

White Greek breba. dang ugly.

[IMAG0529]

Only some physical damage when young made it develop so...

To help balance out the beautiful leaves, I'm sure. :-)

some sort of scar... not sure what it is. few of the trees lost their breba like last yr. they started to dry up. but others are doing fine. no clue what's causing the issue.

that fig is getting ready no KNOCK every other fig out. nothing ugly about it, it;s a boxer's glove ;)

I think it looks like sock hand puppet. Jeez Pete, what are you doing to your poor figs? LOL

i usually tie them up and force them to watch muppets rerun over and over and over...

Definitely bitter beer face.

Your not dumping your bottle rinse into your pots are you?

boxing glove fig

that fig is the wabi-sabi

Hi bullet08,
Since last year I'm knocking those off.
My Dalmatie has a tendency to show some like that.
Generally, my two first brebas from the ufti strain are like that... So I Knock them off.
Mine did never grow to something really edible as the flesh is only on one side of the fig and the small side of the fig has a tendency to rot.
Knocking them off, you provide more strength for the other "beautiful" brebas or the maincrop .
But I'm with you... It is heart breaking to knock those off :°°(

Pete, it would probably still taste just like the normal ones, no?

It ain't easy being green...

Agree looks like boxing glove and also George saying it was wounded at 1 point.

Identity crisis..  it started out as a fig, but really wanted to grow up to be a leaf.
