Is there a difference or problem with California cuttings?  That is very generous of you Gary!  I would gladly pay for the cutting and shipping. Thank you for the offer.

Scott, so as to not get off topic on Speedmaster's thread, I'll send you a PM. Also, I think Ronde de Bordeaux should be considered by any fig lover. It's early, productive, and delicious.

Ronde de Bordeaux is a good choice for early ripening, but it still need a good amount of heat just like any fig. One other option for a good early light color fig is Rimali, and St. Anthony.

Thanks Bass :) I got plenty of heat I get figs now. Will post a thread soon ;)

Hi speedmaster,
Take them both and talk to a neighbor for a little space in his yard :)
rdb is a huge grower and dalmatie a small grower, if space or shading is a problem for you, take the dalmatie .
That is if light colored figs are ok for you. If you prefer the ones on the dark side, take the rdb .

Or, last choice, the best IMO, plant them both in the same hole at 50cm or 2 feet of distance. Let them fruit for 3 years and call the jury for sentencing one to relocation or death .
This way, you won't have the regrets of missing the best strain .

Good luck ! ... I'm still hunting for one free spot in my garden for a another fig tree that I have potted at the moment ... Life is hard on us :) .

Yeah I guess you are right I think I can squeze some space... hmmmm... It needs some planning because I grow other fruits.

Decisions, decisions, decisions! If I were you, I would just go for both.
