For someone like me that does not have a whole bunch of fig plants it won't cost an arm and a fig to buy them. Copper plant tags.
I picked them up at a nursery 20 copper tags with copper wire for 3.69
Im going to have the Misses or daughter inscribe them with a ball point pen as i cannot write good what so ever.
Here is picture of what they look like, course one could also make there own useing various materials, im thinking once these weather a little they will have a nice patina to them .

When I visited Nelson a couple of weeks ago and saw something similar I didn't think nothing of it. But when someone posted something about them then I got to thinking this was/is a great idea.

Imagine you have five or six fig trees that are some of the hardest to get and the plastic ID. tag broke off or the ink faded? It would be a disaster!

I picked some of these yesterday and I will be home for the next few days so you know what I will be doing.

We spend tons of $$$ on these figs every year so a few more buck to buy a piece of mind won't hurt anything. It gives us assurance.
