I have brought this up before and I will again... Please let members here, know what your first name is at least. It's hard to reply to someone's post and call them "Fig Lover", "Fig Monger", etc. We all have our "Forum Names" but please, just let us know what your first name is, when you post something or ask for cuttings, etc.. It would be greatly appreciated, in my honest opinion....Thanks, Frank from Alabama....: )

I would also like to suggest that members identify the state where they are, geographic state, not mental state.

Ugh. I generally don't give my real first name on forums, just because then everyone tends to get it wrong. But it isn't the end of the world to deal with it again, so here ya go -- Ione No, that's not Lone, Tone, Jone, or Jane. No, it's not Iona or Irene. No, it's not pronounced ee-oh-nee or I-won. It's I-own. And now you know the rest of the story. ;-)

James is my middle name. It is the name I've gone by for 40 years. Half my legal documents has James listed as my name.
Bijan is my first name and my forum name on the other forum. I initially signed up as Jamesbut had Wills change it since we have so many James.
I'll answer to either

Ione, I like your name! Italian right? An Italian gent came over to my fig booth last year and asked me how do I pronounce Ischia. I said it and he corrected me saying the "I" in Italian is pronounced "ee". So, Ischia is pronounced "Ee-she-ia.

Thanks! It is originally Greek -- there was a sea nymph named Ione in the ancient Greek myths. But Iona is a similar Scottish name, and some Iones may be named as a version of that. In the US, it was a popular name in pioneer times, and there are quite a few small towns named "Ione" in the American West. There's even a band of an American Indian tribe in California that calls itself Ione. It's a family name in my family, originating from one of those small Western towns.

Since the comments about getting names wrong, my last name is Musilli. How would you like to be called Mussolini? When that happens, I give free history lessons. (No offense to all those Mussolini out there.)
