Pls recommend a commonly available figs in Australia

Hi All
just starting out and dont know much about which varieties are commonly available in Australia that a worth growing. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a few that arent too hard to get in Melbourne, Australia. i already have a St Dominique which i was lucky to find at a garage sale and one of my friends giving me a cutting of fig that he thinks is a black genoa but he isnt sure just says it looks like it.

Only asking is because i have only eatien my neighbours fig tree which is hanging over for the past 2 years thinking they were decent figs but after buying a fig at the shops (think black genoa) i finally reaslised how bad and bland they are! now i cant go back eating that rubbish haha

thanks in advance

You should definitely think about grafting onto the fig tree that hangs over into your yard!!!

thats a great idea! but i know the owner and he already told me he was planning to cut it down as it is right up against his house. Wasnt a fig that he planted just sprouted one day almost a decade ago.
