If you suspect a given fig, be it dried or fresh , got pollination, to find exactly what happened, do as follows:
- wash the fig pulp with warm water to try and separate the fig seeds.
-once cleaned place the seeds inside a small transparent glass with clean water.
if the seeds float, they are empty, hollow, just a shell - there was no pollination
if the seeds sink, they should have fertile kernels inside, these seeds when planted will root and give new fig trees - A sign that fig pollen somehow (probably with fig wasps) migrated inside the syconium and fertilized the fig female flowers.
