Pollination question

Hi all!

I got an unknown fig tree, and despite some decent weather (100F here today) the figlets don't seem to get bigger. Maybe it's a variety that needs pollination? Here's the cross section of the fruit:

It is possible that it needs pollination, but the best way to tell if it a smyrna type fig is to leave it on and see if it ripens or if it drops the figs.
