Is it a unknown from a trip to Switzerland or is it a named fig from Switzerland?

Was it a named fig like lsu gold etc or was it a found fig. Just wondering i know its,extremely awsome just wondering if it was once a unknown

Thanks dave for info. So it still up in the air if it will need the,wasp to produce the incredible fig pulp. Only time will tell. Was hoping to see the inside pic of his fig he ripend in Florida. Outside looks different but it,a young tree still.

i was one of the original lucky 3 people to have this from last year.
it fruited for me and was a fast grower.

 

I hope that someday someone can find out the history of this plant and let us all know how it came to be planted along that sidewalk in Ponte Tresa.  In my mind I have this image of a kind gardener planting their special fig along the walk so as to share it with passers-by. 

My road front is shaded by forest so I might need to do something like this with pawpaws instead.

I think he wants to see the inside of the fig Andreas. I can't be sure though since there is no subject in comment. Unless he wants to know what is in the middle of you ;)

I've grown Verdal and discarded because it was poorly suited for my climate, now that I have seen more pics of PT I can save my money ;) 

I'm guessing it was planted there courtesy of birdie dookie.
