I finally got an Alma!  It's got figs, but they aren't ripe yet.  So, are you serving them plain, or doing something fancy with them?

Oh, and while we are on the subject, since I've never tasted one, are they rich?  Sweet?  Berry?  Nutty?  How would you describe the flavor?

Their progeny from last winter's cuttings are doing well here, one in aquaponics, one in the dirt.  The one in my tunnel aquaponics system has about 12 or so nice figs, and the first one just started turning a couple of days ago.  The one that's in-ground in my other tunnel is purely vegging since the Dwarf Gros Michel banana plants beside it are hogging the sunlight and shading it too much.
