Pork Loin With Fig Sauce I made over the weekend

On Sunday I smoked up a pork loin and some of my Fig and Apple Brauts, for our family get to gather. we also had the usual fare . but I must say they  devoured the pork loin .I think my Fig Sauce made the difference.


COOCKING METHOD
Indirect @ 220-250*F

INGREDIENTS:
For the meat:
 4-6 LBs of pork loin

For the sauce:
Fig preserve [1 cup]
Maple syrup [2 tbsp] 
Apple Cider vinegar  [2 tbsp] 
Dr. Pepper [2 tbsp]
One scallion
Butter  [4TBS]

PREPARATION
SAUCE
Brown a scallion in  butter in medium sauce pan over med-hi heat.
Mix the fig preserve with the maple syrup add to sauce pan , reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 min. remove from heat let cool for 5 min. then add the Apple Cider vinigar and Dr.Pepper. stir until mixed..

Smoke pork for 2.5 hours,  Then mop sauce onto Pork loin. Continue smoke for 1 hour. Pull , Rest for 20 min. ENJOY!


Pork its whats for dinner....... MAN im hungry now lunch anyone???

Doctor told me to loose some weight. With recipes like this, how will this happen?
