Potted Figs Advice / Zone 6 unusual Warm Weather

Hello
So I live in Zone 6.  Eastern PA.
I have several potted figs that are still outside.
We are going to have some weather in to the 60s and 70s for the next few days.
We are normally in the 20, 30s and 40s for this time of year.

Can anyone reccmommend what I should do or need to do with my potted figs that are still outside?

How much Dormancy is needed?  They lost their leaves... but I am not sure if they will go dormant if it is not freezing.

IF I bring the inside. (unheated basement).. how warm is too warm.

Thanks for the advice.

Great question, im thinking the same in NY but my plants have been in the garage for over a month as it got really cold for a couple days.  my garage is unheated but the above 50 degree weather seems like they are not going dormant.  some of them look like they are growing.

I'm in zone 5b and my fig trees are all outside still including small one year old trees.
These trees can take temperatures below freezing with no problems.
They need cool temperatures to achieve dormancy.
my threshold is minus 8 celsius even though they can tolerate lower temperatures, however if they aren't dormant
it's a different story.
Temperatures around plus 8 celsius the tree might come out of dormancy, depending how warm
the soil gets. If the root system gets warm enough they're on their way.
It has nothing to do with the amount of light they receive.
Hope that helps

Coming out of dormancy is my worry in zone 7.  Its been in the low 70's and high 60's for almost 2 weeks. Buds on some of my in ground trees are swelling and some of the more adventurous southern blueberries are actually blooming. Ugh.

Breaking dormancy now is your biggest worry.  Keep them as cool as possible.  If you only have a few plants you can put ice on the soil.    Keeping the outdoor potted plants in the shade will help.

fig wood will die at 17F from my experience but whether it will survive 19F I can't tell you.  -8C is 17.6 F, so microclimate and wind exposure also factor in.

With two weeks of above 60 degrees after a couple of weeks below freezing, my in ground Celeste has broken dormancy and is covered with green buds here in DC. Wondering what the tree will be like in spring, since winter is certain to return within a week.
