Premature ripening

Hi,
I lost 3 figs on my 3 yr old black/purple fig tree I propagated from my family in Brooklyn. The figs started ripening while they were still small. Any ideas what I can do? Last yr I had the same issue with a few figs. They basically turned into prunes for expanding in size. Pics attached. Thanks!

Young tree still more then likely. Fig tree variety and location is the factors

I bet it was not dropping fruit in Brooklyn!.
If that is the case It is the local climate, the tree does not like.
Every Celeste i grew dropped figs in NJ,but they never drop in TEXAS.!

I'm in NJ, about 40 miles from the mother tree. Pretty much the same climate. Only difference is I have it in a pot.

Anthony:Growing in pot is more difficult for the tree because it get stressed by certain hot days, may be one day it needed water and it did not get it,lack of nutrients ,etc.
If the tree produces good harvest in ground where mother tree is,but you can't put yours ,in ground, then bury the pot 3 inches in the yard.
Make lateral drainage holes on bottom side of pot and plug bottom holes.
That way you cut roots off in December and take plant inside.
