I started the cutting two years ago its a strong grower but few figs and the taste sweet and juicy but ive had better green figs, no sweet black ones yet this season.

Its origin suppose to be from Preston in Melbourne,

It normally produces large figs, juicy but no complexity

I haven't tasted this one but my Italian fig guru in Sydney says it's the most ordinary fig he has ever tried. I think any ripe fig is better than none at all but I probably will not make room in my garden for a Preston.

BexleyRabbit it wasnt the best fig ive tasted but i must say better by far than The famous Black Genoa,Brown Turkey that nearly ever fig grower grows, skin is very bitter and leaves a tang in the mouth. In Sydney ive tasted ten times better dark figs but people that never taste figs always say the Black Genoa is the best tasting fig, thats why i love growing figs always trying too get that perfect fig taste which will be soon i hope.
