Beautiful collection !
Your trees look really healthy!
What's your secret?

I wish they were as healthy as you think they still show a little FMV.Thank you Dan for the compliment.

The parent tree, which has FMV, is 50+ years old, and going strong.

Robert looks like you know what you doing all of your tree look very good. I love your yard.

And here's the mother tree leafed out and fruiting. It's always loaded with figs.

That is a really cool looking pic Jon! And yes I can see how fruitful this variety is from your pics Sue. I have to say that this is probably the most vigorous growing variety I have, thanks to you Sue. My tree is doing incredibly well. Early in the summer I removed a few figs that had formed on the tree, while it was only about a foot tall! It is now approaching 3 ft tall and has put on more figs. I left a couple on as I really want to taste them. This variety really wants to produce figs!

What a magnificent specimen!  That's a study in character.
I would love to see that tree fully leafed out.

Thx

Danny,
It's the same tree, Jon's is a winter shot, mine is summer. It's a beautiful tree thick with leaves and very tasty fruit.

That trunk has a lot of character or lumps or something else :)

Do most older fig trees have lumps on the trunk like that.  I've seen an old one nearby but the trunk is completely smooth.

i'm looking forward to my Fico Preto, Black Madeira, and Socorro Black. i want to add i-258 to the list to i can compare all of them.

been a long day.. why is it that vacation is much harder than going to work?

Jon came to the conclusion that the bumps are where previous branches have been cut and the tree is so old its bark has grown over the stumps. It looks diseased but it is not. It's quite healthy. Of the three trees in the yard this is the most prolific.

All of the older fig trees have looked like that. That tree is a thing of beauty. Love the shape. Love the "old" look about it.
