A fig from Spain. Very sweet smooth honey flavor and an early variety.

Thanks for the pics Bass. The Yellow honey types don't seem to be popular on the forum but I like the pleasant honey flavor of these type of figs very refreshing taste.

Dan, I only have a small tree currently.
This fig is one of Monserrat pons favorites.
I really enjoy honey tasting figs as well...

I enjoyed this Princesa from my tree today.

It looks good, Harvey!
Now I will be debating if I should add this one to my wish list! :)
Are you going to be rooting its cuttings any time soon?

Igor...you have the Dark Prince now , of course, you will need Princesa... I am assuming you have the King too. now we need to find a Queen for you and you are set for the Royal Family Garden. ;)

Igor, too early to say, I will probably have some next spring.  My two trees are still relatively small.

Wow, Princesa looks so yummy! I will definitely be looking for one to add to my collection. If anybody has any cuttings to sell, please PM me.

Thanks, Harvey. Next spring is a good timing!

Which honey figs does it compare closest to, and why would you consider this an awesome honey fig?

I bear out what Bass says, Princesa is a Montserrat's favorite, and he has hundreds of varieties!
I have tasted this year two Princesa brevas, they were sweet but nothing special.
I hope that main crop will be much better. Many times, brevas have nothing to do with main crops.

Brevas are usually a tease in my climate, although colar main crop has not been  tasted and the breva is far from a tease.
