Pro Mix HP

has been recommended in another thread instead of using MG . Has anyone been able to buy it from any of the big box stores ?
It is unavailable in either store in many different locations within a 50 mi. of me!

Only place I can find it is at a hydroponics store

Lowes carries Promix HP in bags not compressed bales.

Thanks , I'll check that out .  :)

I could not find Promix HP in any local garden centers, nurseries, Lowes or HD for the life of me here.   Finally, after checking Promix web site found, their major outlet for retail is a couple of large hydroponic stores/warehouses.

Thanks Jack , saves me a lot of searching. One hydroponics place wanted $104 + just to ship ! I think NOT !!!

Online Lowes says they carry it. They should be able to get you some and ship to store for free.

We are fortunate to have this outlet nearby.   San Diego Hydroponics & Organics      http://sdhydroponics.com/   To me, it's like the candy store of all supplies I need.  Great price too, from what I've seen online!    I suspect the "indoor grow" folks make up a huge part of clientele.

Good luck in locating your Promix

Online Lowes  doesn't have it for shipping to stores here or any stock in stores locally . Must be in your area though !
Thanks Calvin.

Pattee,
Try the larger plant nurseries. Adams Fairacre Farms has it, but they are in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie.
Good Luck.

<edit> Here is the recipe for Promix-HP... Peat,Perlite,Dolemite limestone, wetting agent and Mychorrizae. You can make your own potting mix with this recipe. You can add 1 cup Dolemite Limestone and 1 cup Espoma-tone fertilizer per 5 gallons of mix for a home made version of the Pro-mix HP.
Pro-Mix HP:      65/75% - 35/25% (peat - perlite).

Thanks everyone , I really appreciate you suggestions .

You have to go in to the Lowe's store and ask them to get it for you.  It helps them if you bring the numbers from the web site.
