I was always able to buy Promix HP at Hicks Nursury in Westbury but lately they do not stock it and told me they may not even carry it. A few weeks ago they said try the Epsoma potting soil which I did and not even close to the Promix HP in my rooting efforts. I do always find Hicks to be very knowlegable but wondering why they are not carrying it. Any other Long Island stores for Promix HP? Are others around country seing similar shortages?

Any idea whats up with Promix shortages? Thanks

There are 2 distributors and 17 places that have or can get pro-mix products on Long Island.  Go here to find them.  It defaults to pro (distributors) but you can click on indoor gardening to see the 17.  If you have a small orchard you may qualify to buy from the distributors so I'd ask them first.

Barry - Griffins nursery supplies in brookhaven has it. There is a landscape place near me that supplies Fafard Professional Mix 2 thats similar to Promix , out in island park. Thats what ive been using for a while now and love it.

 Sunshine mix #1 with MYC is showing to be better. The antifungal in Pro Mix inhibits root growth. MYC promotes it. Could be why it is disappearing. Read the recent post " Sunshine mix vs Pro Mix HP", or vise versa.
