This tree has been in the garden for 6 years.
Look at the eye of the fig ... Something yellow like stamens - pollen holders.
I don't know what else this yellow plummets could be.
The brebas are edible - some more - some less (too dry, mushy and corky ).
The main crop is better. This tree needs water to yield edible fruits, or they all turn corky or mushy. the outside is dark-violet.
The origin of the ancestors of this tree as far as I was told are in Portugal.
Those figs have a bit of mixed acidity and bitterness to them while tasting mainly like dark figs. The tree is a quick grower.
Of course, it is an unknown for me.
You know the kind of description I got : "You should see how big the mother-tree is, and how many delicious figs she yields ... bla bla bla " ...
I'm sure that it is a caprifig ...
