BTW; my original problem (a), still has a mind of its own - on all 3 web browers - something I have to lean to live with like e.g., FMV....

I ssstttiiilll complain about that 'yellow' marker indicating 'unread' posts (it simply does not work).
That 'Mark Forum Read' button, is one heck of an 'obamanation'!

I dooo like the improvement done in viewing 'multiple' pictures (icons) shown in a post
(the next/previous pic arrows).

George when that little box is yellow and i read the thread and hit the back button it is grey indicating i read thread.
If i just read thread and then scroll back up withing that read thread and click < forums> it brings me back to main page and that box is grey as well indicating i read that thread.

It will go back yellow as soon as someone else posts in that thread which nowadays with so many members can happen rather quickly.

I'm useing Mozilla firefox version 23.0

George i now see what you mean as i signed off and went browsing and came back to forum and thread that i read that had
no new posts added had a yellow box indicating not read and should have shown grey (read).

When opening up the forum and I see a yellow folder indicating new post, I have to open that thread and go down thru all the post to find the last one I read, or is there a way to know which posts I read. On another forum I belong to there is a "new" tag after the topic that when clicked on brings me to the next post that I haven't read, as below.
