Ooh, very nice!! This fig looks absolutely deliscious and pretty, to boot!

Hi Dave. Nice photos!
When did this fig ripen fully?
I'm curious to know if it is very late.
Thanks, Leon

Beautiful growth rate!

Look forward to seeing pics of it after another seasons growth :) .

Hey Leon

Photo #8 the last picture of the fig cut in half was taken August 1st  so I would say in Zone 6b for me they ripen roughly August through October and I don't remember having to pull off any unripened figs for winter storage

Hello Dave,

Great job mate, the tree looks big, strong and healthy and the fruit looks great too.

I would love to get results like that! I'd be interested to hear what soil you are using in the pot, and how you fertilise it? Is that a 15 gallon container you have it in?

Great post, Dave, thanks for putting in the time and effort to share this with us!

Beautiful pics, and a very happy-looking tree :)

That pic would make a great T-shirt

Picture #8 is the kind I like to share on my facebook page so I always have a reference handy for when my MR goes into production.

It's a beautiful fig.

Dave, I agree it is a keeper.  Mine MR was in its 2nd year last year and started ripening figs here in zone 7a in mid-September.  So for me (on the basis of one year) it seems like it is on the late side though not an extremely late fig.

Beautiful fig Dave. Looks like I will ad this one to my list.
Vito

I started using Fox Farm Oceanic soil I found it to be a little heavy the pot it is in is around a 10 gallon I since moved it to a 15 gallon and I now use Pro-mix HP Great soil

No it ripens at the perfect time and I never had to pull off any unripened figs for winter storage

Man that's a great fig how would I be able to find something like that?

Dave that is a very beautiful plant.
