Protect your figs from sun

I found that my potted figs grow faster and heathier when they get morning & after 4 pm sun
We are having record heat this week. I am in south louisiana. After noon sun is bad for my figs water is from the soul level only. Rust is comen here but we dont have fmv.

I noticed that faster growth too. When figs started in the world it wasnt this hot maybe.

we are lucky their tough :)

I have painted my pots white and found that that helps. I think it is highly related to soil temperature in the pot.
