I was very successful in using the fruit containers for Black Mission figs from the grocery store. A couple of notches (really only need one), and the clamshell the PN fruit by the neck, and not passing the branch through plastic. The PN brebas were too big to work like that. Reused the tape from the banana bunch to keep the clamshell closed. If it weren't for the rain, I could have kept the best fruit all the way to true ripeness. Of course, this method wasn't *really* proven, but the birds did eat other figs but not mess with the protected one for a short period of time before it rained for a week.
