This may have already been posted if it has, I am sorry. Nice article Frank, I enjoyed reading for sure. Picked up a couple "fig" specific pruning ideas, and I find it rather interesting how simular the ideas and are steps are to pruning other fruit trees, such as stone fruits and so on.

If I understand right, the Breba crop forms on last years wood, and the main crop on the new green wood. So if you prune for a Breba crop, the main crop follows on the new wood that grows that year. If I am wrong, someone please speak up. __________________ Arthur, Saint Louis CO, MO (Z 6B)

My link sort of works. It takes you to the right place but for some reason it adds the characters %C2%A0 . If you erase those and refresh the page comes up. Your page says the same thing as the one I linked. So it is my opinion that if you prune a tree for Breva production, it will do fine for main crop production since they grow on the new wood that grows on the old wood. __________________ Arthur, Saint Louis CO, MO (Z 6B)
