Just wondering if I'm wasting my time growing this tree. It's a giant. It looks like a tall sunflower. It has huge leaves like a sunflower. It started to drop it's figs and they were getting pretty big.
So to those growing Purple Jordan. Have you ever got a ripe fig?

Yes I’m growing Purple Jordan. Strong grower, 2^nd year in pot, no figs formed last year, have a few figs this year I’m hoping will ripen. Do your leaves look like this?

I'm also growing Purple Jordan, so will let everyone know what mine does, but it sure looks bad based on your reports

Keith, No they all didn't fall off. The ones that did had turned color before falling.
Not much taste to it.
