It could be a deficiency in Phosphorus.
James that was a thought I had as well, however the color is only on the leaf stem.
Many dark figs sometimes produce pinkish-purple tips, young leaf (underside) ribs and stems (e.g., Negretta, Mission, etc,.)
what gorgi said. i noticed that when weather cools off for a bit, Kathleen's Black will have pinkish/purple stem.
I have several that do that. Never really gave it much thought, but it is the dark ones.
