How is everyone's Purple Passion coming along? I've had this one in the ground for a little over 2 years now. It's producing its first crop, a breba crop. The fruit is huge and juicy. I'm new to fig growing, but so far I really like this tree and look forward to its main crop. I had no idea when buying it that it was a local, Houston-introduced variety. The woman helping me at the nursery (Arbor Gate) convinced me to get it saying it was delicious. I seem to remember her mentioning something about Italian heritage. I should call back to get more information about that.
