Put Trees On Driveway Yesterday For 1st Time

Tree's and i have waited months for this time to come around and its finally here for me!
Yes better days are in sight. Some of these trees took a chopping to send out sticks but now no more cutting till they grow some more.
Nice enough day today to start the process of bringing trees onto driveway during the day, yesterday it was 57 out for high thats when picture was taken, today about 60 to 65 and mostly sunny, tomorrow 73 and might break record of 74 for high on that day. Then it gets cold for a few days with temp in 40s so they will stay inside garage and get sun thru the top panel of overhead door.

March 15 On Patio

That's a bright, cheerful picture--until I envision all the work it took to move those pots!

Nice trees, Martin. How old's that husky guy on the left?

That means all 'Zone 5' are not the same after the mid-winter or the peak cold whenever it comes. Our roof tops are clear of the snow but the ground still has snow cover that could end by the end of March . Then we will be able to take the risk of pots being in and out.
Good luck for the season.

Hi and thanks Matt the oldest of left will be going into 7th season .
Jaynine, actually not to bad and im small man by todays standards 5"7 and w looking like dad more and more, short ,gaining weight and hardheaded but not as hot headed wow what a temper he had but me and Anthony my brother were not angels either i wish they were around to enjoy the figs .
Anyways actually ther not to bad to move i dont know what the heck took me so long to figure hey if i keep them near overhead door behind the car we dont drive to often the drive way is right there and the handtruck makes them a lot easier to move also, although i yesterday the bigger size pot did not do well on the handtruck and i got frustrated and drag it in. In the winter though i scatter them in the back of garage away from door. Now there easier to move in and out until another year or so when the others go in bigger pots but maybe i keep some of those in a 10 gallon pot ijust need to find the ones i need  at store.
Oh Matt yes the sky was blue and just real nice out , really nice to see all of a sudden as opposed to the cloudy dreary days of winter.

Ottawan, your probably right.
in our area its up and down and i dont trust that, as a rule of thumb we dont plant vegtables until mothers day as everyone says that frost danger is over.
Here is a excerpt from in my opinon the best meterologist in chicago since i remmeber he is good.

This year mothers day is may 10th so maybe around the 1st of may i plant my garden depending on long term forcast, the fig tree's are much easier though cheating running them around to avoid the freeze. I do remember snow in April as i like baseball and i always said why they start the season so early here but there are many warm teams too so.......
