Now that my first fig tree, a Black Mission, is well established and fruiting nicely, it's time for me to think about planting a second tree. It would be nice if a second one came to harvest at a different time. Are there any varieties that would significantly extend my season?
In my NorCal climate, early figs are Desert King, Ronde de Bordeaux, and Pastiliere. Very late are Col de Dames, Black Madeira, and Peter's Honey.
The latest fig for me is MBVS,I've picked good ripe fruit in Dec.The earliest I've got is Vista breba which should be ready in 3-4 weeks.
