Quarter Pounder

Ok, this is the first time fruiting, and it isn't close to being a 1/4 pound, but it is a definite keeper. Can only get better from here.

I got a dormant cutting from Jack this past late-winter/early-spring.

It is by far the fastest growing plant in the collection, and is double the height of some cuttings that were rooted months earlier and planted in the yard on the same day.

Hoping to see some fruit this year, based upon this explosive growth and heavy side branching.

I got one from him two years ago.  It has quite a few fruit on it this year.  The eyes on my fruit are much more open than yours appears to be, and I get little beetles that entire through the open eyes.  The fruit to me doesn't taste all that good, but that is subjective.  Kern in Newman, Ca.
