I want other collectors to post what fig that they have smells the most. I have a theory that the smellier plants = best figs.

For me by far the strongest smelling plant is Atreano.
The least or most pleasant smelling, faint coconut smell , is Ronde de Bordeaux.

Colasanti Dark is my strongest smelling fig by far. The day I bought it and brought it home I nearly barfed in my car as the smell was just too strong. Took it home within 1 hr the wife said get this darn plant out of here it stinks lol. Also the only plant I noticed that the latex makes me itch like crazy and gives me an allergic reaction where I get like little water bubbles on my skin where the latex touches. Now I wear gloves when I prune it.

That's interesting Kerry. Because to me the aroma is as if a male cat got angry and sprayed my trees. I have heard other people say it smells good. I am with Nelson.

It is hit or miss. Some smell like coconut milk and cinnamon, others like cat piss.
