Hi everyone,

I just started rooting my first fig cuttings this year so I hope no one minds if I ask a newbie question. One of my atreano gold cuttings has started putting out figlets. Should I let the figlets grow or am I supposed to remove them so the cutting can put more energy into the roots?

Remove them, it's too small to support fruit yet.

Yep, unfortunately, they would never make it at that stage.  Nice to see they're ambitious though.

I let one stay on and it got large but the growth of the cutting was stunted compared to its 2 siblings so I snipped it off.

Thank you for the advice, everyone. It hurt me to break off the figlets but I finally did it. Tough love...
