i have seen amazing results from root riot cubes. one quick question. do you have to use rooting hormone with it? if you don't use rooting hormone, how are the results?

be the one to respond about not using it. I know
he has had great results also.

I used the packet of purple gel when I started my cuttings this weekend.  I'll give everyone an update in about 2 weeks.

I had not used any of the rooting hormone and I have been pleased with the results.

I don't use any hormone with them and out of 100 or so cuttings all but the last 10 cuttings are not showing roots but I'm very confident that they will be showing roots soon. When they do that will make rooting success at 100%. I'm sure that using a hormone will help speed things up but I don't think it is necessary for myself.

I just tried the purple stuff and I'm not impressed. I will stick with my Dip N Grow but I also have found that putting my cuttings into a root riot cube then burying them in moss is the method I love best.
My root riot trays are all full of foliage along with the roots and I want the leaves to wait for a good root base first.

I used rooting gel that comes with it and without it.
Both still had great root grow!
