Quick help please

This afternoon I was checking out my trees like usual, when something caught my eye. At first I thought my Hollier had ripened a fig unnoticed and a bird had gotten to it, but on closer examination this is what I found.

The fig had burst open from the flowers inside growing to gigantic size. Also on the skin of the fig were pinkish dots which under a magnifier look like some sort of scale. They are roundish in shape and kind of faceted looking somewhat like a volcano with a hollow center. Some are singular and some are clusters growing on top of each other. I wish I had a camera to take a close up. A near by leaf and fig also has the pinkish dots.

I don't know if the bursting fig and the scale are related, but I'm leaving on vacation Friday and only have tomorrow to deal with it. If anyone has a clue please advise on the proper treatment. It's only on my Hollier.

Scale is controlled by eliminating ants, which "farm" them for the honeydew they excrete. They can only be killed by applying a sufficant (oik, or similar) because of their hard exterior. They can also just be rubbed off, or blasted with water.

Thanks Jon, I've sent you a PM.
