Mine is there, so the functionality still exists.  Are you possibly not logged in?

well, that can't be it.  I logged out but the quotes stayed.

The quotation link is not visible on ipads but is there on desktop/laptop browsers. Dave, are you browsing on an iPad?

no an imac

That's the problem, Dave... You can't do FIG related activity using an APPLE...   :-) Compatibility problem.... Seriously, it is likely that the HTML version (HTML 4.01 Transitional Holy smokes!) being used on the site doesn't work / render properly on the apple platform

Funny, but apparently not the whole story.  I'm using a fairly new MacPro.  It seems fine.  The quotes are there.  So it can't be Apple generally.

wow this is weird I right clicked and refreshed the page 5 times and now it's back as well as the little green dot next to names that tell if the person is on or off ???

I had a similar problem with my email Optimum.net I went on the website to block somebody but the block button wasn't there called Optimum guy said thats impossible he went on my screen and saw that it wasn't there and suggested a new browser like google chrome ???

LOL...................

I wonder how long this site will continue to use HTML 4.01 Transitional... as the "transitional' label implies, it is only an interim but as we have seen many times in systems development, there is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.... HTML5 has been out for plenty of time (September 2014?) for broader adoption.... I guess issues / concerns with backward compatibility of features slows forward adoption down somewhat....

Now you lost me Tony you my as well be talking Chinese ??? :-) I'm a low tech man in a high tech world

I am on an IPad right now and I can see the quotation box!

yeah Frank I don't know what happened it wasn't there for weeks and it just came back today I think Tony had something to do with it?

yes you can with an iPad!

I'm on a mac book at the moment but I use a PC as well an quotes work on both...It's more likely a browser function

HOWEVER - The quotes show in Chrome browser but when I just switched over to Firefox the quote icon was missing.

I'd say try a different browser

Sorry Dave... my bad....

Hit the quote button. Lol]

It disappeared again does anyone know what would be causing it to happen?

Dave... the software deployed on the site servers is unstable and is producing inconsistent rendering of the page... Nothing that you are doing wrong. That was what i was talking about yesterday... The forum software is  using a version of the software that is transitional between two other versions in order to gain some functional benefits of the newer without committing to the full newer version upgrade. The inconsistency that you see with things disappearing is likely a symptom of that software being part way between versions ... I doubt that explanation helped but....

Dave... I agree with TorontoJoe.  I think it's your browser.  I always use Chrome and the quote is always there.  I just tried going to f4f using Internet Explorer and the quote was missing.

That or GREMLINS

Joe.. I like your sense of humour! It makes me smile. Too bad I don't have one.

Five minutes ago the "quote" wasn't on my iPad and as soon as I saw the word gremlins it mysteriously re appeared. Can't figure this one out!
