This forum is Figs for fun... if you are not having fun, it is best not to participate. I learned after getting banged many times that sometimes it is just a matter of miscommunication and valueing the core interest makes things work out, however the online relationship is not the same. And unfortunately people chose to throw things out in the open to everyone rather than work their differences in private. It is just like S*** the more you stir it, the more it stinks. (for lack of better words)
I have seen over the past 2 years I am a member here, also towards myself, there is a lot of pickering, "I am better than you" attitude, "do beg here...", which, in my view, only reflects the poster himself, so I learned to ignore, but I have seen many newbies, sometimes older folks who are newbies who just don't have the patience to deal with the bullying of the elders here... With it, we lost many potential enthusiasts who simply disappear, and are not even missed as they rarely posted and were shut down by the bullying. I exchanged several cuttings with these people, after they 'deleted their accounts'.
Now others are leaving... it is sad that a wise member leaves, but his choice should be respected, and we shall move on, sharing and having fun with our plants.
Want to know what I did today? I went out there adjusting airlayers, cutting some leaves for my figs to rippen. It is a much colder day and we may even get some rain... how are your figs doing?
